The numbers manufacturers leave off the label

Most supplement reviews online are advertising wearing a lab coat. They quote a dose that was never disclosed, cite a study that tested a different form of the ingredient, and invent a customer named Daniel K., 61, who slept through the night after four days.

This site does something narrower and, we think, more useful. We take the label a company actually publishes, compare it against what the published research actually used, and show our arithmetic. When the honest answer is that a product cannot deliver what the research required, we say so, even when we earn a commission on that product.

Current reviews

Prostadine Review 2026The nine ingredients against published research, the iodine load from four seaweeds, the dose math against clinical trials, drug interactions, PSA effects, pricing and refunds. Rated 3.9 out of 5, on five published criteria.

Research articles

Saw Palmetto Dosage: What Clinical Studies Actually UsedThe 320 mg standard, why the two largest independent trials found no benefit, and the laboratory data showing liquid softgels deliver roughly twenty times more fatty acids per gram than tinctures. Kelp Supplements and Thyroid: What Men Over 50 Should KnowThe 150 mcg recommendation, the 1,100 mcg upper limit, the American Thyroid Association ceiling of 500 mcg, and why a seventh of a gram of dried oarweed already exceeds the limit.

How we pay for this

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That commission does not change a rating, and it has never stopped us from publishing a number a manufacturer would rather we left out. Read the full disclosure and how we review.

This site is not a substitute for a doctor. Urinary symptoms in men over 45 can have causes that no supplement addresses, some of them serious. If you have blood in your urine, sudden inability to urinate, fever with urinary symptoms, or unexplained weight loss, that is a call to a doctor today, not a supplement purchase.
